My Background

As a communications major at Boston University, a career in advertising, specifically commercials, was a perfect fit. No two days were alike, and I became adept at juggling creative personalities, multi-million-dollar budgets and tight deadlines. After three years in New York City, I moved to Los Angeles where I worked with major advertisers such as Coca Cola, Proctor & Gamble, Budweiser, Molson Coors, Nike, American Airlines etc. It was a fast-paced, stress-filled, yet exciting career from which I was eventually able to step back and become a full-time parent.  It was during that time that I studied writing, something I had always wanted to do.  When my son was applying to college my writing background proved useful in helping him with essays.  Before I knew it, I was assisting other students with their essays which led to a new and fulfilling career.  In the last five years I have worked with students on hundreds of essays.

Parents began to ask me for college guidance which led to advising students with their college searches and best fit schools.

This led to specializing in helping students and families with admissions and transfer challenges such as Title IX and sexual misconduct, academics, expulsions, transfers and helping students with disabilities.  It’s a full circle moment in my career where I thrive on problem solving amongst a myriad of challenges. No two days are alike.

Consultation

I offer a 45-minute consultation at no-charge to gain an understanding of your goals. If it is determined that you would like to move forward with my services, we will devise a custom plan depending on the situation, goals, and complexity of the application. At this time, I charge an hourly rate vs. a package price which can be helpful for families because they can book as much, or as little time as needed. Some students are more self-directed than others, some applications are more complex than others.
